Hunting
Snow leopards are carnivores, which means they eat meat. They eat whatever they can find that is edible. They eat many types of animals, including Himalayan blue sheep, markhor, and argali. Those animals are more than three to four times their own weight. They also eat many smaller animals. These consist of hares and birds. Unlike many of the other big cats, snow leopards also eat veggies. They eat grass and chew on twigs. They also eat large animals like deer, wild goats, sheep, and monkeys. Snow leopards like to ambush their prey from above. They kill with a bite to the neck, and may drag the prey to a safe location before eating.
